In 1967, the cousins decided to move their business to a new location.

I was 17 years old at the time. I had been nominated for the award by my school’s guidance counselor, who recognized my volunteer work with the local animal shelter. I was honored to receive the award, and I felt a sense of pride knowing that my efforts were being recognized by a national organization.
